- OIS. OPTICAL IMAGE STABILIZATION
- refers to the technology that prevents or compensates for shaking in the image due to movement of the device arising
from unstable fixture or grip. Normally, when taking photos right before sunrise, right after sunset, or in dark indoor spaces without
supplementary lighting, the resulting images tend to appear wobbly. This happens because of the slower shutter speed (auto exposure)
together with shaking of the photographer's hands owing to an unstable posture. Thus,
image stabilization technology was developed to minimize instances of such cases.
